You’re hiring a limousine for an important occasion – your wedding day, your prom night or, sadly, a funeral convoy – and you want to make sure you don’t miss out on the style, luxury, comfort and pampering of a limo ride just because of the price. However, the limousine hire industry is not immune from the truth behind ‘you get what you pay for’ and choosing a limo based solely on price is setting a course for an un-fun hire experience.
So while you have a large number of people you need to transport in a limousine, be in your bridesmaids and groomsmen, your classmates or your family, you may start out looking for a large limousine which can seat everyone together. However, this is not always the most cost effective option because as soon as you increase the size of the limousine you are hiring, you increase the price along the same scale.
Therefore, is it more cost effective to hire two smaller limos, rather than one big one? Well it all depends on what you want. A large super stretch limousine party bus with all of the accessories to rival the best night club and capable of seating a whole football team, is the high end of the pricing scale. However, they are perfect for a hen’s night celebration of a wedding party which wants to enjoy the event together and not be split between vehicles.
If you want to keep everyone together for a funeral convoy, then there are plenty of stretch limousines which are spacious and comfortable, but which will not blow out your budget. In this case hiring a stretch limo over two standard limos is more cost effective as you are only paying for what you need, and you are only being charged one hire fee, for one chauffeur, one tank of fuel and one assessment of the wear and tear on the limo.
If you want to save a little money on your prom limo hire, then while you may want a party bus with all the extras, your budget doesn’t allow it. However, hiring two standard long wheelbase sedan will still allow you to transport four to six people per limousine and you are still enjoying the luxury of a chauffeur driven ride without a few trimmings. After all, there will be plenty of time for dancing and chatting at the prom.
